Speech style dataset
I am Alexandra Craciun, an independent researcher and PhD student at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, supervised by Prof. Tom Bäckström from the Department of Information and Communications Engineering at Aalto University, Finland. We are a group of researchers studying speech-related topics.
We are currently investigating the effect of different speech styles in
interactions with humans or speech interfaces. For this, we need your help to collect samples of speech and organise them into a database.

Frequently Asked Questions
What data will be collected and how?
You will be asked to record various sentences/words with a
particular intonation, specific to different speaking scenarios. Your files will be saved under a random ID rather than your name, such that no identifiable personal information is linked to them. All the recordings will be organised and stored into an open-source database, which can be accessed through one or more public websites.
Can I delete my recordings at a later date?
To ensure reproducibility and retain a balanced database, it is not
possible to withdraw your data from the database at a later time.
Is there any compensation?
There is no compensation associated with this research project/data collection.
Who will have access to my recordings?
All the recordings will be organised and stored in an open-source database, which will be accessible through one or more public websites in the future.
